I decided to create some spider diagrams on my initial ideas to help decide what I was going to do.

I looked at a variety of gig posters and annotated them to pick out particular features and see if there were any running themes. One thing I did find was that most of them used placed the typeface against a contrasting background in order for them to stand out more.

LOTS OF IDEAS

I brainstormed lots of ideas of what I could do. I haven't yet decided on a subject matter, as its quite relative when making a gig poster. They're often related to the bands style and therefore I will have to decide which band I choose before doing subject matter drawings etc.
